Ackerstein Inustries Ltd. manufactures advanced environmental and construction products which are marketed throughout the country. The company's diversified manufacturing capability, coupled with its wide range of aesthetic, high-quality products have made it the industry leader in Israel. Ackerstein's separate manufacturing facilities such as Rosh Pina in the north, Ashdod in the center, and Yerucham in the south of the country span Israel strategically, enabling the most efficient customer service. The Ackerstein Group was originally established in Israel in 1927. The Group's industrial activities were later consolidated under Ackerstein Industries Ltd., which conducted its IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) in 1989. A follow-up public offering was conducted on the TASE in 1992. The company's sales reached $57 million in 2000.
Advanced Environmental DevelopmentAll of Ackerstein's concrete products for environmental applications are designed for maximum functionality and man-made surroundings. The company's range of products in this sector include interlocking pavers for residential, public, and commercial areas in a range of finishings and colors; other products include pre-fabricated elements and a range of supporting walls, acoustic walls, and fencing walls with a level of finish that provides a natural appearance despite the fact that the walls are industrially manufactured.
Distinctive Construction ProductsAckerstein is the only Israeli producer of high-quality Silicat blocks, bricks, and brick facing. Other attractive facings in ivory and kurkar (locally quarried stone) are also offered. These bricks give buildings a distinctive, elegant appearance and help create a "total look" where all construction elements come together as an expression of an integrated concept. These facings are appropriate for outside walls, interior walls, and paved areas.
The company is the only one in Israel to produce multi-colored, high-quality concrete roof tiles. Ackerstein's roof tiles are renowned for their strength, resilience, and water-resistant qualities. Tiles are available in a large selection of colors, with a wide range of accessories.
Infrastructure Products
The company manufactures a range of concrete piping and related accessories including manholes for drainage and sewage, security and pedestrian subways. Special products include box culvert pipes, jacking pipes, drainage channels, and slot drainage channels.
